About Us

We are a group of ball players, educators and conscious citizens dedicated to bringing positive changes to the communities we serve.  Neighborhood Nets is a community development program whose vision is to bring pride back to playgrounds!  Our mission is to put a net on every naked basketball rim throughout the city, nation and eventually the world.  Sometimes the smallest gestures make the biggest impact, and for a basketball player or someone who simply enjoys spending time at a park, nothing adds value faster than new basketball nets.

One Vision...Three ways to get there. (Oh yea, nets was only the beginning!)

Community Involvement
We are here to serve!  Our net hanging season typically runs from the spring to the end of October.  During this time you can find us in local parks, playground and even residential areas hanging nets, engaging with the youth or even shooting some hoops.  We love staying involved and actively look to participate in community events, 3 on 3 tournaments and speaking engagements.

Education
Giving back is what we're about.  We want to partner with schools where community service is not only a part of graduation requirements, but also a part of the culture that makes them who they are.
Our Resources to Rebound curriculum was developed with the student athlete in mind.  Students who participate in and complete this personal development program will have the opportunity to earn scholarships to basketball skills and fundamental camps!

Global Recycling Program
In an effort to reduce our carbon footprint, Neighborhood Nets collects all of the worn nylon nets we remove and look for interesting ways to recycle, refurbish, reuse and redistribute all over the globe!

We want to change one community, one playground, one rim and one person's perspective one day at a time.
